<dc:description>Digital asset markets suffer from severe information asymmetry, latency-driven rumor propagation, and unverified secondary reporting. This paper presents the architecture of Basis Desk (https://basisdesk.news), an autonomous, primary-source-first newsroom engineered to ingest, cluster, draft, and verify financial and cryptocurrency news in real time. Rather than rewriting secondary media coverage, the pipeline ingests documents directly from regulatory agencies, courts, corporate filings, protocol repositories, and public blockchains, using secondary media headlines strictly as event-discovery signals to locate underlying primary documents. Every candidate draft undergoes an independent second-pass grounding audit that verifies factual claims, dates, entities, and numerical figures against the source text and live market snapshots, enforcing a strict verbatim-overlap ceiling and a minimum publication quality score of 80/100.</dc:description>

<dc:description>Tracking institutional and regulatory developments in digital asset markets requires linking off-chain legal documents (such as SEC Form 8-K filings, MiCA supervisory guidelines, and court orders) with real-time on-chain capital flows and spot market microstructure. This study details the zero-LLM runtime entity resolution and on-chain telemetry architecture deployed at Basis Desk (https://basisdesk.news). We describe (1) a deterministic entity-matching grammar that maps news coverage and primary citations onto canonical regulator, statute, corporate treasury, and topic hubs with Wikidata alignment, and (2) a fault-tolerant, multi-RPC Ethereum and Bitcoin whale scanner that detects and labels transfers >= $5,000,000 USD across exchange hot/cold wallets, custodians, and treasury addresses.</dc:description>

<dc:description>Retail market participants reading third-party cryptocurrency articles, social posts, and decentralized exchange (DEX) pages rarely cross-check factual claims against primary filings or inspect underlying token bytecode for administrative traps. This paper presents the design and evaluation of Basis Desk Verify (https://basisdesk.news/tools/verify), a zero-background-tracking Manifest V3 browser extension for Chrome and Firefox, and the Basis Desk Token Safety Checker (https://basisdesk.news/tools/token-checker). We introduce a four-class epistemic claim-labeling taxonomy (matches, differs, not_found, opinion) that avoids overclaiming falsity when evidence is absent, and we formalize a smart-contract risk-scoring refinement that downgrades owner-only administrative capabilities (mint, pause, blacklist, tax modification) when contract ownership is provably renounced to the zero or dead address without proxy upgradeability.</dc:description>
