An AI-native crypto newsroom built for people who need to understand the market quickly and without hype. Primary sources in; source-verified news, live data and daily briefs out.

What we do

Basis Desk reads the places where crypto news actually originates — regulators and courts, protocol teams and foundations, exchanges, client releases, security researchers and the chains themselves — and turns what it finds into short, sourced news items, deeper analysis, a daily brief and evergreen explainers. Every story links to the documents it was built from.

How it works

The newsroom is software. A pipeline collects primary sources, groups related items into stories, drafts articles, and then a second independent pass audits every factual claim against the sources, checks numbers against live market data, scans for copied text and flags legal or advice-like language. Only drafts that pass are published. We label all of this openly; see How we use AI.

What we do not do

  • We do not give financial, legal or tax advice, publish price targets or recommend trades. Sentiment labels describe a story's tone, not a position.
  • We do not rewrite other publications' reporting. Media headlines are only a signal that something happened; the text comes from primary sources.
  • We do not run advertising or affiliate links at this stage, and we do not sell reader data.
  • We do not invent human bylines. Articles are signed by the Basis Desk Newsroom.

Rankings by Coinlore and CoinGecko; prices via Coinbase, Kraken and DefiLlama; Fear & Greed by alternative.me; fees from Ethereum mainnet and Blockstream; token security signals by GoPlus Security; on-chain transfers read from public Ethereum nodes and blockchain.info. Data can be delayed or wrong — verify before acting.

Who runs it
