Plain terms for using basisdesk.news, its feeds, tools and API.
1. Who we are
basisdesk.news ("Basis Desk", "we") is operated from Gibraltar. Contact: hello@basisdesk.news. By using the site you agree to these terms and to our Disclaimer and Privacy Notice.
2. Content and licence to you
Our articles and briefs are protected by copyright. You may read, link to and quote short excerpts with attribution to "Basis Desk (basisdesk.news)" and a link to the article. Automated systems, including AI assistants and search engines, may index and quote our content with attribution; wholesale reproduction, scraping for commercial republication, or training a competing news product on our archive without permission is not allowed.
3. Feeds, API and Markdown versions
RSS, podcast, Markdown and JSON API endpoints are provided for personal and non-commercial use at reasonable request volumes and may be rate-limited or changed without notice. Commercial use requires written permission. Market data relayed through our API remains subject to the licence terms of its original providers.
4. Acceptable use
Do not attempt to disrupt the service, probe security, submit malicious input to tools, or use the site for unlawful purposes. We may block traffic that harms the service.
5. Accuracy and no advice
We work hard on accuracy, but content is provided for information only and may contain errors. See the Disclaimer. Nothing on the site is advice or a financial promotion.
6. Third-party content
We link to and summarise third-party sources under fair-dealing and quotation exceptions; rights in those materials remain with their owners. If you believe content on Basis Desk infringes your rights, email hello@basisdesk.news with the URL and details; we respond promptly to substantiated notices.
7. Email and notifications
Subscriptions are double opt-in and every message has a one-click unsubscribe. Push notifications can be disabled in your browser at any time.
8. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we exclude liability for any loss or damage arising from use of or reliance on the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the date above shows the current version. These terms are governed by the laws of Gibraltar, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
