Data deletion

How to have any data about you deleted from Basis Desk, including data received through Facebook, Instagram, Threads or YouTube.

Basis Desk does not offer reader accounts and does not use "Log in with Facebook", Instagram, Threads or Google. Our platform integrations only publish our own content to our own accounts, so in most cases we hold no data about you at all.

How to request deletion

  1. Email privacy@basisdesk.news with the subject "Data deletion request".
  2. Tell us what to look for — for example the email address you subscribed with, or your username on the platform you interacted with us on.
  3. We delete what we find and confirm by email within 30 days.

Faster options

  • Email subscribers: the unsubscribe link in any message removes you immediately.
  • Push notifications: turn them off in your browser; the endpoint is deleted when it expires.
  • Connected apps: you can remove Basis Desk's access to any account under Facebook/Instagram settings → Apps and websites, or at Google security settings.
